Aims
By the end of the lesson learners will be able to:
            understand important causes of environmental problems and some solutions;
     
            extend their understanding of lexis connected to climate change and environmental issues;
      
            improve understanding of     information given in a dictionary;

           different uses of  get;

This lesson introduces learners to some of the main issues related to climate change.
Learners focus on dictionary skills.  Focussing on the lexis in detail will help them recognise and use these terms outside the classroom. The reflection task encourages good learning habits and group discussions allow learners to share their opinions on changes in the future.

I’ll devide class into two,then they have to list important causes of environmental problems and some
solutions;after this one they will have some ideas to write essay-I CAN PROTECT THE PLANET EARTH .

·         firstly they'll understand main environmental problems and will find some ways for solutions;how to avoid the one;
·         secondly they'll extend their understanding of lexis connected to climate change and environmental issues

·         and last they'll use get correctly in different situations.

Project name:

My  Hero

Main idea:

Write about your hero. You can write about:
A sports hero.
A war hero.
A heroine.
A person in the family whom you think is a hero.
Your choice.


Instruction:

Stage 1
1. Choose your hero.
2. Write his/her name in the middle of the “sun”, brainstorm and write everything you know about him/her on the rays. Fill in the project form and hand in to the teacher to check.
Stage 2
1. Use 1-2 resources.
2. Write an I.D of your hero, a few sentences explaining why this person is your hero and about 10 sentences of interesting/important information.
3. Check spelling, grammar and punctuation.
4. Hand in the draft to the teacher.
Stage 3
1. Correct the draft according to the teacher’s instructions and comments. Add pictures, maps, etc
2. Prepare a title page which will include the Hero’s name, your name and the date.
4. Fill in the checklist.
4. Hand in the project.
