Aims	By the end of the lesson learners will be able to:             understand important causes of environmental problems and some solutions;                   extend their understanding of lexis connected to climate change and environmental issues;                    improve understanding of     information given in a dictionary;            different uses of  get;
This lesson introduces learners to some of the main issues related to climate change. Learners focus on dictionary skills.  Focussing on the lexis in detail will help them recognise and use these terms outside the classroom. The reflection task encourages good learning habits and group discussions allow learners to share their opinions on changes in the future.
Grade	XI
Number of students	7-(3girls  and 4 boys)
procedure	5-min  worm up   -what problems does our planat face?    -how can we change our lifestyle to       help the planet?   -how to protect environment? 10-min reading for skimming and scaning    “carbon footprints” 5-min  matching the words with the    difinitions; ex.3 p70.(Gateway B1-book) 5- min  extend their understanding of lexis connected to climate change and  describe the pictures ex.4 p70.(Gateway B1-book) 5-min  presentation "carbon footprints" 3-min  I’ll destribute handouts 1; children will guess and write the correct meaning of GET 5-min  they’do ex.2  p73.(Gateway B1-   book) Ex.3  p73.(Gateway B1-book) 4-min  giving homework to write essey . I’ll devide class into two,then they have to list important causes of environmental problems and some solutions;after this one they will have some ideas to write essay-I CAN PROTECT THE PLANET EARTH . 3-min  assesment
Materials	text book,dictionary,board,flip-charts,lap-top
Evaluation	·         firstly they'll understand main environmental problems and will find some ways for solutions;how to avoid the one; ·         secondly they'll extend their understanding of lexis connected to climate change and environmental issues ; ·         and last they'll use get correctly in different situations.
